Uranus in the Houses of the Natal Chart (Episode 139)
Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun, and it is a “ice giant” with the solar system’s fourth-largest planetary mass. It has the same 27 moons and rings as Saturn! Uranus, the governing planet of Aquarius, is linked with change, independence, and individualism in astrology.
The position of Uranus in your birth chart indicates the areas of your life where you are unique, non-conformist, and prone to unexpected shifts. It may also reveal information about your intuitive abilities or the particular job you’ve come to perform, as well as the people in your life. It may show where you’re defiant if you’re affected.
1st House: Uranus in the first house suggests that you are a genuine rebel. You don’t give a damn whether you fit in. Instead, you want to be able to freely express your uniqueness. You may be considered quirky or unusual, and you might dress in a manner that attracts attention. You may be unpredictable or unstable if you are badly aspected.
2nd: Uranus in the second house indicates that your financial position is fluid. One day you’re making a lot of money, and the next day it’s all gone. You may be impetuous with money and fall prey to dubious scams. You may, however, have special abilities for earning money or be interested in donating your riches to humanitarian causes.
3rd: Uranus in the third house bestows an intuitive mind onto you. You think in a unique way – and you might be very creative. You’re also objective, so you’re a good fit for science, journalism, or the media. Because you become bored quickly, you need a lot of mental stimulation. You may be prone to impracticality or flakiness if Uranus is affected.
Uranus in the fourth house denotes a unique childhood or family life. It’s possible that your family is unusual or quirky. Your home may have a lot of freedom – or it may be crammed with all kinds of electronic gadgets. Friends turn become family members. If you’re affected, you may move around a lot or have issues with your parents.
5th House: Uranus in the fifth house denotes romance that seems to enter your life unexpectedly. You may meet someone out of nowhere or via friends, but relationships can terminate just as quickly as they begin. This position may also indicate promiscuity. If you have children, you should be aware that they may be academically talented or unique in some manner. If you are affected, you may seek pleasure via harmful ways – or you may get pregnant unintentionally.
Uranus in the sixth house may indicate a profession in science, computers, or technology, as well as spiritual healing. At work, you quickly make friends and like being in an atmosphere where you can be yourself. You dislike being watched and may opt to quit employment where you are constantly scrutinized. If you have the disease, you may have times of employment insecurity. Uranus with a bad aspect may also suggest stress-related health problems.
7th: The presence of Uranus in the seventh house may indicate a desire for independence in your relationships. You can’t stand being confined to your home; you want the freedom to come and go whenever you want. Relationships may start in unexpected places and end abruptly. If you’re affected, you’ll need to be cautious when it comes to litigation and public relations. If you make a mistake, you may be sued…or your job could be terminated.
Uranus in the eighth house denotes a strong connection with the other side. You may be a medium or have a special understanding of what makes people tick. Inheritances or shared funds, such as marriage or a business partnership, may cause drastic changes in your finances. If you’re affected, you may have problems with taxes or alimony. As far as possible, unwise speculation should be avoided.
Uranus in the ninth house may suggest a fascination with unconventional ideas in religion, philosophy, higher education, or foreign civilizations. You have the freedom to go anywhere you want, whenever you want. You may be attracted to strange cults or extreme political/social ideologies if you’re affected. A badly aspected Uranus in this sign may also indicate extremism.
Uranus in the 10th house indicates a profession in science, technology, robotics, math, or astrology. You may possibly be engaged in something unique or have a reputation as a radical or eccentric. Your status may shift abruptly, and if you’re affected, you could see a rapid ascent to the top followed by a dramatic drop.
11th: Uranus in the 11th house is unintentionally dignified, indicating a strong humanitarian side to your personality. You’ll meet individuals from all walks of life and accept them for who they are. Having said that, you’re a bit of a lone wolf. Despite the fact that you run with several packs, you are not obligated to any of them. In your friendships, you need to be able to move about freely. If you are affected, your pals may suddenly turn against you. You’ll have to be selective about who you let into your inner circle.
12th: Uranus in the 12th house typically indicates that you are fascinated by how the world works – and how you do as well. Meditation, spiritual pursuits, and introspection will pique your curiosity. You have a keen sense of intuition and may even be clairvoyant. You may lose your grasp on reality if you are affected. You should always stay grounded, but particularly if you’re dabbling with mediumship.
