How to Make a Dream Board in Minutes

While reading up on dream boards, I learned that these actually aren’t new. People have been making these things for a long time, but they call them dream boards. I’m not sure what the real difference is between these and dream boards, but I did learn that it only takes minutes to make one of these things. This post is going to walk you through the process and show you how to make one of these things in minutes.

Some people worry about their dreams. If they had a dream about you, what would it be about? If you had a dream about them, what would you like to know? If you could make a dream board to capture your dreams, would you?

Investing in the stock market is a pretty serious business. You don’t want to pick stocks that you will lose money on, so you want to know if they can be a good bet for the future. A dream board is a visual way to evaluate things like that. Take a piece of paper and draw a map of the US. Then, for each state, circle the cities you are interested in buying. From there, you can evaluate whether that state is a good investment.

In Law of Attraction organizations all around the world, dream boards (also known as vision boards) are all the rage. And rightfully so!

It’s very powerful to hang them on your wall or use them during meditation or journaling time. (And it’s a lot of fun.)

Physical dream boards or posters depicting things you wish to materialize in your life are known as traditional dream boards. People post photos of their ideal houses, occupations, wages, pets, and vacation spots.

With so many creative individuals on the planet, you can bet there are some very complex and opulent boards out there!

However, if you’re anything like me and failed Pre-“cut K’s in a straight line” section, vision boards may be a pain to put up.

So don’t be afraid!

We’re giving it a 21st-century makeover by creating a MODERN dream board! There will be no cutting. There will be no pasting.

I utilize this technique since I’m not creative and, well, hey… Who has time to print a variety of photos or cut them out of magazines?

How to Create a Vibrant Dream Board

I’m sure you’ve heard of this tiny app called Pinterest.

Take it as your new poster board… A strong search engine, a recipe database, and a hair-styling bible poster board!

Obviously, you’ll need a Pinterest account to scale up your vision board efforts.

This section depends on how detailed you want to go, but I prefer to go over everything since it’s so much fun. After all, isn’t it my future?

This may be accomplished in one of two ways:

  • Create the mother of all dream boards by pinning anything you want to “My Dream Board” on Pinterest.
  • Make SEPARATE Pinterest boards (i.e. a lot of dream boards!) This is how I do it because I find that focusing on one area at a time allows me to materialize much more effectively.

For instance, I have seven boards. All of the items mentioned under “dream home” are pinned to my “dream house” board (see below). For pets, I have a plethora of photos of my favorite pets, including the Ragdoll cat, on my board.

House of Your Dreams

  • Exterior
  • Interior
  • Bedroom
  • Observe (ocean, duh)
  • the kitchen (all appliances including my dream coffee machine)
  • Balcony
  • Rooms for Children

  • Cats (Ragdoll blue bi-color Ragdolls *be still my beating heart*)
  • Collars with bling
  • Clothing for pets
  • Pet beds/accessories

  • Luggage
  • Locations (giraffe hotel in Kenya)
  • Cruises are a great way to travel (Alaska)
  • Countries

  • Blogs that I find inspiring
  • Posts from other sites that generate income
  • Logos that are attractive
  • Images for your blog
  • Color schemes
  • I’d want to write about some metaphysical topics.

  • laptop/electronics
  • a blend of essential oils
  • diffusers
  • crystals
  • books
  • adult coloring books/colored pencils

  • Hair
  • Nails
  • Stunning ensembles
  • Jewelry
  • Shoes

My Ideal Day

  • Massages
  • Food/Restaurants
  • Evenings with your date
  • Automobiles (for my spouse, black Chevy pickups)

That final one (my ideal day board) is one of my faves, and it may be very effective for you as well!

Imagine your ideal day from the moment you wake up to the moment you go to bed, and then pin it all!

Who has time to go through all of that? Not to mention the fact that you’d have to locate everything first!

Pinterest is a simple, free, and unlimited method to bring your dream board into the twenty-first century with you.

Plus, new pins are introduced on a regular basis, so you can keep adding to your collection.

How to Create a Classic Vision Board

Are you the kind of person who enjoys creating a hands-on, tried-and-true vision board to put in your bedroom?

If that’s the case, go for it!

The conventional technique of creating a “dream board” isn’t going away anytime soon.

If you wish to create a conventional dream board, follow these steps:

  • Take a look at various magazines and ink cartridges for your printer.
  • Obtain a poster or foam core board.
  • If you wish to, give your board a name or a title.
  • Start pasting your pictures on and digging in.

  • Remember to pay attention to the details as you gather pictures. When you imagine your ideal house, for example… What hue is it, exactly? What kind of landscaping do you want? What kind of mailbox will you get?
  • Instead of making everything seem beautiful or match, focus on what you’re connecting to the board.
  • You may make boards for each of your categories (travel, business, and home), or you can make boards for various times in your life. If you wish to relocate, acquire a new job, and adopt a dog in the next five years, you may put it on your “five-year” board.”

Making Use of Your Dream Board

Using your vision board, regardless of whatever technique you select, is the most essential thing!

(Did you really think you’d simply create it and be done with it? 😉

I, for one, spend many evenings a week curled up in bed with all the lights turned out. After that, I turn on my salt lamp and diffuser and go through my Pinterest boards.

That ‘me’ time enables me to connect with my greater calling and aspirations!

I’m picturing myself in that life as I browse through and add to my boards. Friends, this is crucial!

For your ideal job:

  • Consider yourself kicking ass at the job you’ve always wanted!
  • What hours would you be available to work?
  • How long does it take you to go to work?
  • With what kind of individuals do you collaborate?

For your ideal house, consider the following:

  • Consider how good it will feel to get a cup of coffee from your gourmet coffee maker in the kitchen, which overlooks your lovely backyard… or whatever it is that YOU want!

For your “ideal day” board, use the following images:

  • Consider how that day went… Do you have a habit of getting up early? Do you like to sleep late?
  • Why not have a massage?
  • Travel?
  • Eat out?

Finally, the INTENTION and imagery that occurs when you utilize your dream board are much more essential than the technique.

Your energy will rise to a point of appreciation as you envision living your goals, bringing those visions to reality.

Pro Tip:

Try include your vision board in your meditation or journaling session to provide some variety. For example, after spending time on your career board, write a diary entry about your DREAM day at work, or…
