Tarot is a wonderful tool for helping us to gain insight and understanding into our relationship with others. It can give us perspective into how we can best support a friend or partner, or how we can better communicate with the people we love.
Tarot and Art Forecast for Week of June 20, 2021 ⋆ the fox and the tarot.
Cardinal FishHappy summer solstice, happy birthday, crab friends, and happy Father’s Day. There are many things to do today. Let’s look at the heavenly part first. The summer solstice takes place every year and marks the beginning of summer or winter, depending on which hemisphere you live in. This is one of the two periods of the year when the earth is furthest from the sun. At this time of year, the northern hemisphere is tilted toward the sun to receive the most radiation, while the southern hemisphere receives the least.
On this day the sun is directly above the Tropic of Cancer, hence the name. However, the sun has not set on the solstice in the constellation of Cancer for over 2000 years. Because of the movement of the earth, called precession, the sun always moves across the zodiac. The cycle of this movement lasts 26,000 years. The sun is moving to the west. So at each solstice, the sun is slightly west of the previous year’s solstice in relation to the stellar background of the zodiac. So the sun enters the sign of Taurus on this solstice.
And finally, it’s Father’s Day. Greetings to all the men who are co-parenting or raising the next generation alone. The photo above shows a male cardinalfish holding the eggs in his mouth until they hatch. He doesn’t eat for about a month while they’re ripening. Here’s a list of other fathers in the animal kingdom who are primarily involved in raising their offspring.
Planetary highlights: This week the Moon enters the sign of Scorpio, so get in touch with your sensuality. Then, on the 22nd, he enters Sagittarius, conducive to the discovery of new things, and ends in Capricorn, focused on structures. Mercury is out of retrograde, but remains in retrograde until the 16th. July in Gemini. So it’s time to implement the changes we’ve been making over the last few weeks. Jupiter will be in the sky today, the 20th. June, down. He makes this cycle every 399 days and lasts 4 months. It’s time to slow down, but not stop moving forward. Don’t forget that she is in Pisces until the end of July, giving you a taste of the energies that will surround you in 2022.
P.S. The characters with * are a big week for you. Cancer, this is the perfect time to get an astrological tarot reading for the coming year. And Capricorn is halfway through your birth year, so if you need a planetary reading to check that out, now is the time.
May the light be upon you, around you and within you,
*Sun – This week is your time to shine. Take a step towards the light. Only put energy into what you want to grow. But remember that your fiery, all-consuming temperament casts no shadow on those around you. By helping others shine, you shine yourself.
Six of a Coin – The muse of charity has come to you. This week: The more positive energy you send out into the world, the more optimistic the people around you will be. But this energy also works with negative energy. Les: What you feed, grows too.
Six Cups – The muse of the past knocks on your attic. This energy advises you this week to examine your past in search of answers. You are reproducing old patterns, and you need to figure out where it all started in order to break free or renew yourself.
Ace of Cups – Naturally, you receive the muse of emotional beginning at the beginning of your birth month. This is a great week to make wishes about how you want the new year to go. And then I pushed that feeling away and figured out how to bring it to life. The Muse recommends finding a word that reflects this mood and writing it down in a place where you can see it throughout the month.
The Nine of Wands – The Muse of Commitment asks you to spend this last month of your birth year putting the finishing touches on things so you can start fresh on your birthday. Not all tasks will be completed this month. Boundaries are necessary to create space and time for this work. The more you do now, the more energy and focus you will have to innovate in the future.
Swords – Last week’s group of Muses of Acceptance challenged you to bring momentum into your life. It puts you in charge of everything: what to do, where to do it, and how to do it to get closer to your goal. You still have a week to keep this momentum going, but you need to take it slow and think about each step. This is not the week to make rash decisions or act haphazardly. Mindfulness and patience are the skills you will use this week to create ease.
Flying fox with long ears
Seven Cups – The muse of dreams is here to spur you on to greater fantasies. You have somehow limited your desires, and that has left you feeling empty. This sense of scarcity has created a hungry mind that will use anything to fill that space. But if you follow your dream, this hunger will subside.
King of Sticks – The muse of inspiration came to play with you this week. This is a great week to plan and start making the improvements that will move you forward. The challenge is to think outside the box and think long term. It will take some time to mature, but there is momentum to move this week.
The Eight of Swords – You are stuck in one part of your life/work, you are holding on to a thought construct that is not working for you. The Theory Muse is here to help you meditate, revise or discard what no longer serves you.
*The Devil – The Devil card is one of your life cards, so this week has karmic components. The sun comes in the sign of Cancer, which opposes your birth sun. It takes place every summer in June and July. It’s time to step back, regroup and start over. You’re halfway through your year of birth. Use this week to evaluate how far you have come and adjust your next steps. This muse also encourages you to relax and take it easy to get through this review. As they say, the devil is in the details, but you have to adjust your speed to pay attention to the little things.
Five of Swords – This week’s energy brings with it a sense of chaos and distraction, like a bee’s nest outside your window. But the muse of best interest is there to keep you on track. Your challenge is to remain true to your integrity and humanity. Treat each situation with a question: What is best for me and for the other person I am interacting with? And if they disagree, be compassionate and find a compromise for both of you.
Nine of Swords – The muse of necessity has come to have a drink with you. This week brings a sense of melancholy. Melancholy occurs when a person has difficulty coping with new situations using old coping patterns. Use this week to adjust the way you deal with the problems in your life.
